I was down at AC this past weekend. Ran into an old friend at a 6 to 5 single deck blackjack. I was getting quiet a few BJ's. more so than I would get on a regular 6 ot 8 deck game. Is this normal or I just got a lucky streak? Also how many hands can be dealt on a single deck vs 8 decks?

Let me say at the outset that the fewer decks of cards that are used that you initially have to deal with, the more likely you are of getting a Blackjack.

But having said that, I can not recommend that people play 6 To 5 (which is actually 1.2 To 1) paying Single-Deck (or any deck game for that matter) of Blackjack since it offers a casino advantage that players have to face of at the very least about 1.45% as opposed to about 0.18% with a normal Single-Deck 3 To 2 (which is actually 1.5 To 1) paying game with no restrictions on what two-card total that a player can Double Down on. This also assumes that the Dealer is Hitting on Soft 17.
