| hi guys, i have been using perrys point throwing qualifier and johns two consecutive three inside numbers shooters for a while now and have some observations. they both work VERY well at preserving your bankroll, however johns method takes a lot more patience it seams as over the last 30 trips ( 3 months ), i am averaging only about four setups using that method in a two to three hour session. it seams that my patience level is not quite long enough to use this way excluesively. perrys point method worked a lot more times , but has some serious qualifiers to it. first a good majority of points are not until the shooter has rolled betweem 6-10 rolls. this means that between 2-5 inside numbers have already been rolled before you begin to bet. mathematically this is a problem as 98% of all rollers never get more than five inside numbers total in their rolls. also the inside numbers are not all paying numbers as some are the point numbers. it is true that most long rolls come from point rollers, but you could go broke before you get a long roll on some days. also for both methods, the roll after the point has been established on both the first and second points are killers. letting one roll happen after each point will definetly raise your numbers of rolls that you do not get hammered before you get a paying number. after going through the 72 hours book of rolls, it appears that those two rolls and the second roll after the first come out ,account for something like 40-45% of all seven outs. if you do not bet on those three rolls, you will increase your chances for success greatly. one other observation is that a majority of seven outs come after a number, other than an inside number is rolled. i have been doing well by calling my bets off if i get one of the non inside numbers on my first roll after i place my bets. this manuever has saved me a bunch of times ( 5 or 6 times per session ). of course the dealers do not like it, but so what. anyone else have any of these same expierences ?? |

seattle rick,
it is extremely difficult to stay focused and sharp for
so long ( 2 -3 hour sessions). There is a real danger to fall
into robotic mode, adrenalin is not substitute for fresh, open
mind, all circumstances and result, ongoing for so long will
cloud your judgement and patience is out the window.
Try 30-40 min max and take a 30 min break.
You may be young, with excellent physical and mental health
and not feel the fatigue setting in - but it is there,
silently creeping in.Then,to keep rush and juices flowing,
we lose discipline - making wishful decisions.
enjoy reading your post.

brennan's point is a WARNING ! No matter what your age
standing at a craps tub is tiring. If you have added booze you
may well fail to realize when the losing starts. Recently THG mentioned on another board, that we were 6 and two when together.
THG is quick to realize when he (and a companion)are up,
and he initiates a departure. I drop quickly when there are no wins at all. Frank-S |

Yo...Kindred Earthbounds,
I too get tired at the Craps table....however, I have found a pick-me-upper that really works.
I found it at Wal Mart but it is cheaper at Costco.
It is called..." FOCUS FACTOR. "
It says it restores focus and and mental alertness....and boy !... does it ever !
It gives me somewhat of a rush that I had when I was 10/11 years old.
You know....the alertness we all had after waking up at that age ?
That.... top-of-the-World alertness ..... GOLDEN !
Jim
PS: I only take 1/2 tablet because a full tablet, for me, is over-the-top alertness !

brennan:
"Try (playing for) 30-40 min max and take a 30 min break."
I agree 100%. (This is one of the best pieces of advice you can ever get.)
