The under started at 56 for the 2012 Superbowl. I like the under, but looks like the money has been going on the under so far. That worries me because many times if the lines moves one way, the opposite happens.

This is true that usually when most sports bettors are thinking and betting alike on the same angle, then the opposite result occurs more often than not. You have to credit the odds maker for setting these lines that creates an illusion or "trap" to bring in money for the books. The key is to determine WHY bettors are making that particular bet, then you can determine whether or not to make a contrarian play. A recent winner where the line got moved over night, before game day to favor Alabama by 1 over LSU in the BCS championship bowl, was a rare exception. This line stood at a pick 'em line for several weeks leading up to the game.

Perhaps it was Floyd Mayweather's money (400K) that moved the line FWIW and GL on your SB wager.

To bet opposite of line latest direction is pretty weak
argument IMO.Whether you like U or O,the prudent thing is
to cover in % both possibilities and give youself a chance
to win both bets.Live parleys with dominant 62/U and flat hedge
for 48/O in a teaser for example won't leave you starving
comes monday morning.

What do you guys think about Gronkowski's prop: Over/Under 74.5 rushing yardage? He just had the boot removed today and has a high ankle sprain. Looking at Under for an easy win. One hit and he's out. Seems like the surest pick.

The latest Gronk prop is ov/un 80.5 receiving yds at a certain online offshore book that no longer caters to the US players. Pretty sure this number is steadily dropping as reports of him limping around and in practice are popping out. He did go back into the Baltimore game for 3 plays after the injury so it might not be as bad as the hype. Gronk is a big young beast and might heal faster than people think come Sunday. Sure the Giants will let him catch and try to hit him low but the kid shows a lot of heart so let see if the hits will force him out of the game. Don't forget about pain killing injections to get him through the big game.
Like Undermined mentioned above, the surest, safest, easiest pick often becomes a "sucker" play when it looks like an obvious
winner. BOL and enjoy the big game.

The 2012 Superbowl went way under the total. Should have taken it at 55 in Nevada when I was there early last week when I liked it at 55 and before the line moved in under direction. Live and learn.

It was obvious after watching the game that the tight end for New England Gronkowski, was a nonfactor because of his high ankle sprain injury. Wonder why coach Belicheck didn't sit him down and played Chad Ochocinco more to stretch the Giants defense. He is a speedy all pro receiver who can help Brady down field, but only came in for one play and one catch. Guess they didn't want to win this game bad enough and was just content to throw the short passes all game long. Just saying it might have made a difference with an experienced, healthy receiver in there.

Instead of N.F.L. should read E.G.O
