How would you bet the game of craps if you found that the casion was using loaded dice on a craps table, that were loaded to 6/1?

This is a hypothetical question! No I didn't find any casino using loaded dice, just what to see what you can come up with!

Ricochet or Patrick system would be the best bet. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about the come out 7 which destroys most Don't players. I doubt any of the big casinos use "dirty dice" but I wouldn't put it past maybe a cruise ship or indian casino that might not be very regulated...Of course, we all know they don't have to cheat since they have the upper hand anyway.

I was once approached by a guy who told me that he thought that roulette was fixed at the casino he played in. He thought that the 0 and 00 was bigger than the rest and asked me what he should do....he asked should I call the police, call the gaming commission or go thru the shift office.

I replied "play the 0 and 00"

Whenever a craps table is running really cold, and someone says they think the dice are fixed, it's called "loser-talk". (If you ask them why they keep on playing if they really think it's fixed, they just shrug their shoulders - and keep on betting.)

Casinos don't need to cheat at ANY games. All they need to do is open the doors, and most players will find ways to self-destruct - all on their own.

Sorry Perry- it ain't so. In the late 80s- Lv Trop- selective up cards giving dealer a ten count 75% of the time. LV Sands two years before they closed-relief dealer, using blisters to deal her-self three straight BJs each time she came to the table. VPs that would not give two small pairs, next casino no trips=no full houses, others no pays on the top level and some times top two levels. Programs- the one card turnover to the same as discard-normal 3/47= ,0626 or 6%--Most IGTs run near 30 %. The drop out- you draw a winner, but one card drops out-they call it a malfunction, but it is a program-at one joint-joker poker-the drop out was always the joker. Read Bill Zender's book; in which he says they don't do that in LV or AC any more- BUT HE SAYS IT 17 TIMES IN THE BOOK; and that is like double winks and an ear pull. Frank-S Sorry I left out the Aladdin fiasco, and the silver slipper.

Superrick.....

Well, lets see.....since I like to compare the world of gambling with the "real" world......lets set up a couple of situations that are different in content ....but the same in observance of possible results .....

1) You are sky diving and you discover a HOLE in your parachute ....do you drop the idea of skydiving with that parachute ...or go thru with it ...???

2) You are living in NJ......and your girl friend, dressed in a mini mini mini skirt and a halter that is having problems doing what it is intended to do ....asks you to take her to Broad and Market street in Newark on a Friday nite .....and stroll up and down the street.....

Do you drop her off at her home and never see her again....or go thru with the "suicide mission"....KNOWING full well what (as the Shadow says)......."what EVIL lurks in the hearts of men (and on Friday nites in Newark, NJ)..........."

3) You are taking a 200 mile jaunt in your car ....on the local highway with less than a quarter tank of gas in your car....and as you enter the parkway, a sign juts out ...."NEXT GAS 150 MILES"..........do you still go on that Parkway?????

4) You go to the beach one fine Sunday afternoon......where 11 people have been attacked by sharks the past 2 weeks...and there are signs all over the beach......"BEWARE OF SHARKS.....SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK....."

KNOWING there is a danger ....do you still go swimming?????

5) You go to a casino and stand watching a craps table where 3 of your buddies, on 4 other occasions told you there was loaded dice (they heard it from a dealer himself, the brother of one of your friends ....so you KNOW the dice are fixed .....

DO YOU PLAY????????????

Oh....wait a minute ...........that was the same question YOU asked to start this thread .....

Rick K. gave the right answer .........."get out of Dodge!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet guys ACTUALLY indicated they would have a way of playing ....even at that table with the (knowing) it had loaded dice .....

Am I crazy ...or is the world turned upside down.....

The questions I asked are akin to what superrick asked .....and STILL.................STILL.....

only Rick said he would run.......

I must be nuts .....getting into the gambling business ....just because I was bored in my previous occupation.....

Maybe some of you didn't know it ....but I was a brain surgeon......

I operated on peoples brains........

I think I have found several candidates on this thread to re start my business!!!!!!!!!!

Frank Stanton:

After your last post, maybe you can understand why I would never play blackjack - not even with "stolen money".

What to my surprise,.. that there is nobody that can post a chart, as how they would bet this scenario!

Where are all the mathematicians when you need them, how about all you WinCraps guys, how about The Madprofessor,... come on, one of you guys can make-up some charts to show everybody how to bet this problem!

Well Rick maybe you posted on the wrong forum. John says to walk away from a crooked game. So maybe this ought to be asked on the Wizards site. Or Heavy's. Or at the Dice Institute. Me I'm still liking laying the 4 or 10. But that's just me.

superrick:

O.K., Rick, I’ll answer your original question.

If the casino was using “loaded dice”, I assume you mean that shooters are not going to be making any point-winners. If this is indeed the case, then I would simply bet “with the house” by making lay-bets against the shooters’ points.

This way, if the dice are "loaded" to favor any particular seven combination, then come-out rolls will not hurt me, and I will win all of my lay-bets on seven-outs.

PerryB;
I like your answer, sure would be nice to have an edge on the house.

Some time ago there was a cabal of dice "pros" who insisted that there were crooked dice in Vegas at certain times. Call em shaved, culls, crooked or "fight dice". When the obvious answer arose from the pagans, similar to yours, hard feelings arose and they were effectively silenced. Personally I wish they were right because as you say, money could be made. But nothing was ever proven and we are all the poorer for it.

Perry, I still frequent casinos. There is a cure for all that I posted. It is the all encompassing 3-in-a-row. What most people miss about 3-in-a-row is, that three straight losses indicate a losing TREND. There is an old saying-"Don't throw good money after bad." If you add "don't buck a trend that is running against you";
you have a very strong case for 3-in-a-row. Frank-S
